Our secluded walled garden hosts a spacious yurt offering a unique retreat blending space and organic style. Designed with care by Angela Morley, the garden is a haven, with thoughtfully planted borders, winding paths and secluded nooks inviting relaxation and reflection. Only a minutes walk from the car park at Oakhill Ponds, the garden is on-grid with a fully equipped outdoor kitchen, a wood-fired hot tub, a monsoon shower and two flushing loos. It can be booked separately or as part of the whole site where it provides an added layer of convenience and comfort.
At its heart is a spacious 21-foot hand-crafted yurt, featuring a king-sized bed, dining area, comfortable seating, and a wood-burning stove for warmth and atmosphere. It is big enough to practice your cartwheels in. The private terrace offers a wood-fired hot tub and fire pit. A separate garden room provides an additional place to relax or sleep, with a small double bed.
A short stroll leads to Oakhill Ponds, where you can enjoy the spring-fed waters and explore 25 acres of diverse natural landscapes. For an added element of relaxation, our off-grid horse-box sauna is available to book separately.
For independent bookings the Walled Garden can be booked for up to 4 people as we keep numbers small to maintain a peaceful setting and keep our neighbours happy. When booked as part of the full site, we have quiet-hour guidelines in place.
The hand-built outdoor kitchen is well equipped. There are two planchas, a small gas oven with hob burners, an electric hob, an air fryer, pizza oven and barbecue—ideal for alfresco cooking. Further facilities include an indoor larder with a fridge-freezer, smeg coffee-maker, dishwasher, and microwave.
A local pub serving excellent food is just a short walk away and Oakhill Ponds is within easy reach of Somerset’s most iconic destinations.
